This September will witness a special 30th annual running of the Gull River open canoe slalom race. Please bring Gull race memorabilia. The race is as always the weekend after labour Day, Sept 11 and 12 this year. Help set up the course Friday morning, practice runs Friday pm and Saturday am. Race starts noon Saturday. Spectators welcome. Volunteers needed. Registration: on-site only. Register Friday evening or Saturday morning by 10 a.m.
Saturday Afternoon
Note that we will be splitting the former Masters' class into Masters 40 to 54 years and Legends 55 + To make the 30th annual event even more special we are looking for a group and family activity and have come up with all-terrain extreme cross-country croquet. If you have a croquet set, bring it along (put your name on all your pieces) and we'll set up a course through the campground Saturday evening starting at 6:30. There will be a corn roast and barbeque Friday evening for race volunteers and everyone helping to set-up gates on Friday morning. Everyone who has arrived by Friday dinner is welcome to join. Those who didn't setup, please contribute potluck appetizers and dessert and bring your own food for the the barbeque.
