The Summer Whitewater Series is back for 2011. running in reverse—from east to west—from Ottawa to Minden Ontario with nine whitewater events at four venues!

Paddlers of all ages and abilities will be competing for the overall TEVA Points Champions: top 15 men and top 10 women.

Level 6 is once again designing a special rashguard for full series registrations.

Our mission is to bring all whitewater disciplines together to build a foundation for whitewater competition.

2011 Schedule: 

REVISED SCHEDULE June 27, 2011

Site 1 ORR Fleet St Pumphouse training/race site) Downtown Ottawa

Sat June 25^th open training all day

Sun Jun 26^th set course.

Pumphouse Slalom Race (2 runs back to back) commencing 12:00 noon

Site 2 (Wilderness Tours, Beachburg, 1 hr west of Ottawa)

Monday June 27th

1. Optional river run (Lv WT 9 am shuttle to put in , return 1pm)

2. Optional Freestyle clinic

Meet at 9am at WT

Kayak/gear for those renting

10 am freestyle clinics/practice

12 pm lunch at WT

2 - 5 pm Freestyle Competition (wave to be selected subject to water levels)

6 pm Awards at WT

Site 3: Madawaska Kanu Centre, Barry’s Bay (2.5 hrs west of  Ottawa/1:15 from WT)

Tuesday, June 28th – (water release  9am -3:30pm)

Open practice 9-3:30

The DR sprint and slalom times have been changed - with the DR moved to Wednesday am.

Wednesday, June 29th – (water release) 9am - 4pm

Revised schedule is now:

8:30am - Start the DR Sprint Wed morning - Staircase - Chalet.

9:30am - Series Slalom run 1, followed by 2nd runs.

Break from 1-2pm.

2pm - 4pm - OC Slalom at .

5pm - Awards and MKC Bbq in the Pavilion.

Site 4 Gull River Minden Whitewater Preserve  (1.5hrs west of MKC)

Thursday June 30^th – open paddling and hanging gates

Friday July 1 (am) open practice (upper and lower sections)

(Playboats available from WO to international athletes)

2 pm Boater Cross dam to below horseshoe falls.

5pm (Tentative, subject to water levels) FS rodeo Earls Hole

Sat July 2^nd (am finalize race course)

12:00 Noon. Andrew Westlake Slalom (upper section)

4pm -5pm  set gates for lower slalom race take down gates in upper section

6pm Awards Banquet and primiere of paddling film “Locals Only” at Roger Parsons centre

July 3rd  9:30am Lower Slalom (2 runs back to back) 12:0 noon TEVA Series Awards
