Whitewater Ontario membership
- WO supports recreational paddling clubs through its club events insurance programme (new for 2011!)
- WO, in partnership with Canoe-Kayak Canada and other provincial paddling organizations, has developed a new river leader and whitewater instruction program
- WO puts its weight as a province-wide organization for whitewater paddlers behind river access issues by:
- providing support for local groups fighting to preserve their rivers for paddling
- publicizing information about access and conservation issues on its website
- WO can provide seed funding and other resources for new paddling events
- WO supports high-calibre slalom athletes by allocating provincial and federal grant money for coaching and other supports
