2010 is the launching year for the new CanoeKayak Canada Whitewater Kayak Instructor Certification program.

Existing and previously certified Instructors are invited to attend a 2 1/2 day Instructor Recert: May 28-30, at MKC and Sept. 24-26, at the MWWP Certification cost under the new CKC program is $120, valid for 3 years. If interested in becoming a Learning Facilitator (LF) please let us know when registering for the recert. LF's will be chosen for their skills and ability to offer a minimum of one Instructor Course per year. At present only MKC has a list of scheduled new instructor and trip leader courses (http://www.owl-mkc.ca/mkc/certification.htm), due to Claudia's involvement for over 3 years in helping build this new national program. But this will expand after the May 28th Recert as more instructors receive their new accredition and new Learning Facilitators are certified.

MKC's Instructor and Trip Leader Certification Schedule, 2010:

Leader / Instructor Level 2 (L2I2) - June 3 - 7 or July 28 (eve) - Aug 2

Trip Leader 2 (L2) - June 3/4, or July 29/30

Flatwater Instructor Level 1 (I1) - June 19/20 or August 7/8
