Introduction

The Irvine is a tributary of the Grand River through Elora Gorge. You can see the Irvine joining the Grand just after the very first rapid in Elora Gorge on river right.

Access

Put in

The putin is on Irvine St. If you would rather run the lower Irvine or if there is ice in the middle section, you can putin in at the bridge drop on Woolwich St W.

Take out

The Irvine is usually run in conjunction with Elora Gorge so the takeout is as for Elora Gorge.

After triple drop there is bumpy water until you get to the confluence with the Grand in Elora Gorge.

Length of run

The Irvine on its takes around 2 hours and with the Elora Gorge takes 3-4 hours.
