Introduction

The Moon is mainly paddled for the big surf wave. There are also several drops upstream of the wave that can be run at higher water.

It usually runs during April and May and sometimes in the Fall.

Access

Map of location

80 Km north of Barrie, take the exit to "12 Mile Bay Road" (8 Km N of Bala Exit). Turn left and travel 11.5 Km to "Anold's Bay Rd/Harrison Trail". Here, turn right and look for signs for Moon River Cottages. Parking here is $10/car.
