Introduction
The Upper Section of Spencer Creek is above Webster's falls in Dundas and is a good warmup for the gorge section but is quite short and around Class III}.
Access
This river runs from January to April and can also come up with heavy rain.
Put in
Park at Crooks Hollow parking area and then putin behind the lake dam above the Old Mill.
Take out
Take out below the giggle dam or above the approach to Webster's falls.
Rapids
Old Mill Drop
This rapid is a long rocky slide ending in a boof. Watch for the hole there as it can be sticky.
The Giggle Dam
This dam drop is like a children's slide and seems to make grown adults giggle.
Length of run
This part of the run can take 30-60 mins depending on whether you walk the shuttle.
