Hi All
In loo of Gullfest 2010 a rodeo is being held at the Gull on July 25th. Steve Pomeroy of WO has done an awesome job and negotiated a release.
There will be a guaranteed 18cms flowing in the river ( which roughly equates to 8.2 or 8.3 on the gauge).
Keeping in mind that not everyone wants to be a rodeo star, the rodeo won't be starting till 11:30am. Free paddle from 9-11:30am. This will leave Earls wide open for anyone who wants to show up and throw down or rock a side surf like its 1999.
There will be three classes to compete in. Mens, Womens, Junior.
I apologize for such short notice.
At this point in time I am looking for a few volunteers to help out. We will need a few qualified volunteers to help run some safety for the event. This equates to a few safety boaters as well as some people set up and ready with throwbags.
i am also looking for 2 volunteers to help with registration the day of the event.
The event is being held on a Sunday but if you would like to paddle the day before and camp feel free! camping is $15 for non WO members and $10 for WO members.
There will be a $10 entry fee for the rodeo payable the day you register.
If you have any questions please feel free to post here. I am going to run a poll so we can get an idea of numbers. If your interested in coming please do the poll.
If you would like to volunteer please email me at
