Currents & Community
Honouring a Legend: Roger Parsons | Last month, we celebrated the incredible life and legacy of Roger Parsons following his posthumous induction into the International Whitewater Hall of Fame. While we mourn his passing, we remain inspired by his profound impact on the whitewater community and his lifelong commitment to the sport.
River Wave Survey | Whitewater Ontario members are encouraged to check their emails for a survey on the economic effects of building a river surf wave. Please take a moment to contribute to this survey, as the findings will help support future whitewater infrastructure projects across Canada.
WO Annual General Meeting | This year’s AGM focused on strengthening our provincial safety programs and expanding volunteer engagement. The membership reviewed a successful 2025 financial year and set strategic goals for improving competition support and river access in the coming seasons.

MACKFest, Hell or High Water, and Spring Palmer River Festival | The spring season kicked off with incredible energy at Marmora, Petawawa, and Palmer Rapids. We saw fantastic turnout and high water levels, and we want to thank the organizers and volunteers who made these iconic festivals a success once again.
Reel Paddling Film Festival (June 13) | Join us for an evening of cinematic adventure in Haliburton.
