ABOUT THE OTTAWA RIVER: The Rocher Fendu section of the Ottawa River has been paddled  for hundreds of years. These waters run through the unceded, unsurrendered traditional  Territory of the Anishinabe Algonquin Nation. We recognize the Algonquins as the customary  keepers and defenders of the Ottawa River Watershed and its tributaries.

ACCESS: The Ottawa River is an internationally renowned whitewater river enjoyed by recreational  kayakers, canoeists and rafters. Public access has been an ongoing concern for years as the  sport of whitewater kayaking, canoeing, and private rafting has grown in the Ottawa Valley.  Over the spring/summer of 2021, there has been a dedicated team of volunteers working on a  proposal to secure a free, public take out on the Ottawa River and leave a lasting legacy for  future generations.
