Many people ask where to start.

Whitewater Ontario directs people seeking to start out by pointing them to clubs, and commercial partners. Our specialty programs for Women-in-Whitewater, Kids in Slalom, and Pool Sessions are advertised in our Calendar of Events and within our clubs.

WO also provides instructor certification to paddlers skilled at the appropriate level and can teach at, such as at Pools and in Lakes, or Class II or Class III rivers.   Whomever you start with, confirm they have experience and certification in teaching.
