Surf Cambridge is a not for profit looking to have a permanent surf wave built on the Grand River in Cambridge, Ontario. Whitewater Ontario supports and encourages this local grassroots effort.

Much like the Minden Whitewater Preserve, the Ottawa Pumphouse, Valleyfield Quebec and paddling parks in Alberta and BC, this has the potential to create a paddling community in South West Ontario.

Surf Cambridge's vision is to install two surfable waves approximately 30m below the Park Hill bridge.

These waves will allow kayakers, surfers and other boaters from all over southern Ontario the opportunity to use a surf wave almost year round. Instead of only being able to play for a brief moment after a heavy rain fall, in the spring melt or driving 4 plus hours to find the next reliable spot, we will have a permanent adjustable wave right here in our own community.
